policies & guidelines
At The Noble Dog Trainer, my goal is to provide a safe, structured, and productive training experience for every dog and owner.
The following policies establish clear expectations, protect everyone's time, and maintain a consistent standard of care across all services.
Please review these guidelines before booking. By purchasing or participating in a service, you acknowledge the applicable policies outlined below.
booking & payment
Consultations & evaluations
All prospective clients must complete the contact form and participate in a complimentary 15-minute phone evaluation before moving forward with services.
Additional in-person evaluations may be required to determine suitability, establish training recommendations, or approve enrollment in specific services.
Payment requirements
All services must be paid in full in advance to confirm a reservation or enrollment, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been expressly approved.
Submitting an inquiry, completing an evaluation, or expressing interest does not guarantee enrollment or availability.
Services and appointment times are not reserved until payment and booking requirements are completed.
cancellations, rescheduling & refunds
Due to the limited availability of training appointments and programs, all bookings are considered final, subject to applicable law.
Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed otherwise.
Client cancellations, missed appointments, and requests to reschedule do not ordinarily qualify for refunds or credits.
Missed sessions within multi-session programs are forfeited and cannot be transferred or made up.
Clients arriving late will not receive additional time beyond their scheduled appointment.
A 10-minute grace period applies to scheduled appointments. After 10 minutes, the appointment may be considered forfeited.
If The Noble Dog Trainer must cancel or reschedule a service, an alternative appointment or appropriate refund will be offered, as applicable.
health & vaccination requirements
For the safety of all participating dogs, clients, and the trainer, the following health requirements must be met before services begin:
Rabies vaccination: All dogs must have a current rabies vaccination, regardless of age or local legal exemptions. Proof of vaccination from a licensed veterinarian is mandatory.
Core vaccinations: Dogs must be current on all other age-appropriate core vaccinations.
Bordetella: Current Bordetella vaccination is required.
Vaccination and veterinary documentation must be submitted and verified before the first training session. Dogs without the required documentation will not be permitted to participate.
Dogs exhibiting symptoms of contagious illness, including vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, or unusual discharge, must not attend training until medically cleared.
Clients must disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, medication changes, or physical limitations that may affect training.
The Noble Dog Trainer reserves the right to decline or postpone services when health or vaccination requirements have not been met.
behavior & safety
Behavioral history
Clients must accurately disclose all known bite history, attempted bites, aggression, and other behaviors that could present a safety concern.
Failure to disclose relevant behavioral information may result in refusal or termination of services.
Muzzle requirements
Dogs with a known bite risk may be required to arrive wearing a properly fitted, secure muzzle.
If a muzzle is required and the dog arrives without one, the session may be declined or forfeited without a refund, subject to applicable law.
Training suitability
The Noble Dog Trainer reserves the right to decline or discontinue services when a dog's behavioral needs exceed the scope of the training offered, or when participation presents an unreasonable safety risk.
Certain cases may require veterinary evaluation or referral to a qualified veterinary behaviorist before training can proceed.
training equipment
The Noble Dog Trainer uses a balanced training approach, with equipment selected according to each dog's individual needs, behavior, and training goals.
Depending on the service, equipment may include:
Flat collars and martingale collars
Slip leads
Prong collars
Electronic training collars
Long lines and other appropriate training equipment
Specific programs may have additional equipment requirements.
Harnesses are not permitted in designated leash-reactivity classes or programs where alternative equipment is required.
Clients are responsible for obtaining required equipment unless otherwise specified in their enrollment details.
client participation & training expectations
Successful training requires consistency, appropriate management, and owner follow-through.
While The Noble Dog Trainer provides professional guidance, structured training, and individualized recommendations, results vary depending on the dog, environment, history, and continued implementation.
No specific behavioral outcome, timeline, or permanent result is guaranteed.
Owners are expected to follow handling instructions, maintain appropriate safety precautions, and communicate relevant changes in their dog's behavior.
group programs & workshops
Group classes and workshops are designed for dogs that meet the behavioral and safety requirements of the specific offering.
Enrollment may require a prior evaluation or individual training session.
Group placement is subject to trainer approval.
Participation is limited to dogs whose behavior can be safely managed within the program environment.
Required training equipment must be brought to each class.
Missed classes cannot be made up, transferred, or refunded, except where required by law.
Dogs must remain under the control of their handler throughout the session unless otherwise instructed.
The Noble Dog Trainer may recommend a different training service if a group environment is not appropriate for a particular dog.
daily training & day training
Daily Training and Day Training services are structured, trainer-led programs designed around each dog's individual training needs.
Owners must provide accurate behavioral and medical information, access to agreed-upon training environments when applicable, and any required equipment.
Training plans may be adjusted based on the dog's progress, safety, and response to training.
Daily Training programs include owner education and transfer of skills as outlined in the purchased program.
Day Training is not a daycare or boarding service and does not guarantee resolution of behavioral concerns within a single session.
training visits
Training Visits are available to established clients and approved new clients who have completed any required evaluations.
Visits are intended to maintain previously established skills, provide structured enrichment, or support ongoing training goals.
Availability, visit length, and eligibility are determined individually.
Training Visits do not replace comprehensive behavioral training when additional instruction or intervention is needed.
complimentary events & client benefits
Complimentary pack walks, community activities, and other client-exclusive opportunities are reserved for active clients and eligible paid members.
An active client is someone who meets at least one of the following criteria:
Has completed a paid training service within the previous six months.
Is currently enrolled in a paid training service.
Has an upcoming confirmed, paid training service.
Active paid members are eligible for applicable member benefits throughout the duration of their membership.
Previous clients who no longer meet these criteria are not eligible for complimentary client-exclusive activities unless otherwise invited.
All events are subject to registration, availability, behavioral suitability, and applicable safety requirements.
Complimentary benefits are not guaranteed and may be modified or discontinued.
communication & availability
Business communication hours are 10:00 AM–7:00 PM.
Messages received outside these hours will be addressed during the next available communication period.
Training sessions are scheduled by appointment only. Availability varies by service, location, and existing commitments.
Please use the official contact form for new training inquiries.
photography & social media
Photos and videos may be captured during training for educational purposes, progress documentation, or business content.
Public promotional use of identifiable client information or images requires appropriate permission or consent.
Clients who have questions or preferences regarding photography or filming are encouraged to communicate them before their scheduled service.
policy updates
The Noble Dog Trainer may update these policies as services, operational needs, or safety requirements change.
The policies applicable to a booking will be those communicated or made available at the time of purchase, unless a later change is expressly agreed upon or required by law.
