DAILY TRAINING

Two Australian Shepherd dogs sitting on a sidewalk in a park, smiling with their tongues out. One has a merle coat pattern and wears a black harness with a blue leash, the other has a red and white coat and wears a black harness with a green leash.

Daily training involves working with your dog Monday through Friday for a set period of time, typically 2–4 weeks. Each session focuses on building reliable skills, improving behavior, and creating lasting change through consistency and structure.

This program combines professional training with real-world practice, making it an effective alternative to traditional board and train programs.

Who Is This Program Best For?

Daily training is ideal for:

  • Reactive dogs

  • Leash pulling and poor walk manners

  • Anxiety or confidence issues

  • Busy owners seeking faster progress

  • Dogs who struggle in boarding environments

Why Choose Daily Training Over Board & Train?

✔ Training happens where problems occur
✔ No kennel or boarding stress
✔ Owner involvement and education
✔ Ethical, transparent training process

Getting Ready for Your First Training Session!

Welcome! If you're reading this, you've either booked or are preparing to book your first daily training session with The Noble Dog Trainer. This guide will cover everything you need to know about preparing for our program, from equipment to what to expect.

First things first: I’m here to support you and your dog in building a healthy relationship and addressing any challenges. My goal is to help both of you reach your full potential.

**On the Day of Your Session:**

Day one we start by meeting inside to get acquainted with you and your dog. Once we understand your needs, we’ll dive into the training! **This is the only day you are required to be present at the session unless requested to be present for certain/all sessions.

**What You'll Need for Your Training Session:**

Every household and dog is unique, but there are a few essential items that will benefit all dogs:

1. **A Place Cot or Dog Bed**: A good-sized cot is key for teaching the "Place" command, where your dog learns to stay on the cot for an extended time. I recommend an "elevated dog cot" style, available for around $20 on Amazon, which is great for training.

2. **A Slip Lead Leash**: If you don’t have a leash, don’t worry! We’ll bring one of our The Noble Dog Trainer slip leads to your session and teach you how to use it effectively.

3. **A Properly Sized Crate**: If you already have a crate, fantastic! If not, it's worth getting one. Crates are useful tools for addressing issues like reactivity, separation anxiety, and resource guarding, regardless of your dog’s age or behavior.

**A Couple of Important Tips:**

- **Avoid Overexerting Your Dog**: Ensure your dog isn’t too tired before our session.

- **Don’t Feed Right Before**: Make sure your dog is hungry to maximize motivation during training.

Thank you for trusting me with your dog’s training. I understand how much they mean to you, and I’m excited to help you both achieve a balanced and fulfilling life.
